She parked her hybrid compact car that she was so proud of in a spot near the back entrance of her “urban farm” garden center. Every time I saw the place I could only imagine how wasted the property was as a “garden.” With businesses and coffee shops nearby, the square block of property my daughter had devoted to farming and gardening could bring a high price from someone interested in putting in a strip mall. I was sure she hadn’t gotten her business sense from me.
