Moving Beyond my Past
“Ike, I feel so lonely now that we’ve moved way out here in the country. We’re twenty miles from town! I know absolutely nobody, except for you and our kids! What am I going to do?”
“Cara, put your thinking cap on! You have a brain and creative ideas. I’m sure you can come up with some good ideas.”
“You’re right. I’ll grab a legal pad and brainstorm, like I’ve always done when I’m faced with a challenge. I do have a brain! So brainstorming it is!”
We laughed together. Laugher was so good for our marriage. It helped take the sting off losing our third baby when I was six months along. She was a baby girl. We’ve healed and I’ve poured my attention into our kids we have left.
